Conservative Republican Businessman Mark Gonsalves

We need an outsider with commonsense. Like Trump, a successful businessperson who will Drain The Swamp. Not another do-nothing career politician or establishment-backed candidate.

Why now? Why me?

I spent my life and career focused on business and my family. Many friends have asked me what made me decide to run for Congress.

The short answer is simple; it’s time to Stop The Nonsense!

I watched in January of 2019 when Democrats were sworn in after taking back control of the U.S. Congress.

One of the first things they supported with their newfound power was the socialist Green New Deal that would increase our spending by $93 trillion!

Then I watched the New York State Legislature vote in late-term abortion. They celebrated on the Capitol steps like the Yankees had just won the World Series. 

The very next day, the Governor of Virginia came out in support of post-term abortion. Yes, post-term. I simply could not believe what I was hearing.

The following day, I turned to my wife Donna and said, “I’m going to run for Congress. I’ve had enough. If it’s not now, then when? If it’s not me, then who? I need to know if you’ll support me in this?”

You would not be reading this had she not said she would support me 100%! I could not ask for a better partner in life and this campaign.

Over the course of this campaign, I have seen how the “sausage gets made” in politics and I could not be more disappointed. So much is based on how much money special interests are willing to give a candidate.

Candidates are willing to say anything you want to hear to get your vote while privately agreeing to go along with whatever their Special Interest Super PACs want from them.

It’s time to Stop The Nonsense! With your help, we can win this race and change politics. Let’s do it together.

Mark Gonsalves is the son of first generation Americans, Beatrice and Lenine Gonsalves.

He has a BS degree in Accounting, which has served him well during his many business ventures.

Mark started his career in IT recruitment and later founded Integrity Software Resources, Inc.

After several years in business, he was recruited to become Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Adams Golf, a small golf club manufacturer. Within 4 years, he helped grow sales from $1 million to over $90 million. It was named by Inc. as the 4th fastest growing private company in the US and shortly after went public.

 In 2001, Mark and his wife Donna purchased a private buying club franchise and renamed it DirectBuy. This was before a Costco or Sam’s Club was on nearly every corner. Mark developed a unique TV marketing plan that expanded the company network from 67 to 168 locations within 4 years. DirectBuy was sold to a private equity firm for $550 million, an increase in valuation of over $540 million during that time.

After the company was sold, Mark became a real estate investor, buying undervalued properties, improving, and reselling them.

Mark has taken special assignments in a number of companies in need of new vision and leadership. He served as CEO of the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy, directed the acquisition of Nature’s Brands Inc., and also re-branded a UK-based nutritional company.

Mark and his wife Donna have been married over 21 years. They are the proud parents of a beautiful daughter, Taylor, who is currently in college.
