May 7, 2020 – Republican businessman and candidate for Congress in Georgia’s 7th District released the following statement on Ahmaud Arbery’s killing.
“All eyes are on Georgia as we learn more about Ahmaud Arbery’s tragic killing. Our justice system must act without bias. If corrupt government officials were involved in shielding the perpetrators from justice, they should be removed and charged.
“No Georgian should fear for their life while out on a jog. It’s shameful that the men who killed Mr. Arbery have not been charged. I commend Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr for taking a stand on this issue. I will continue praying for the Arbery family and for swift justice.”
